How to Make Eight-Layer Casserole

Step-by-Step

  • 1Crumble ground beef evenly over bottom of a 3 1/2-quart slow cooker.
  • 2Sprinkle with bacon bits, then onion.
  • 3In a medium bowl, combine tomato sauce, water, chili powder, salt and black pepper.
  • 4Pour half over beef and onion layers.
  • 5Sprinkle rice evenly over top, then corn.
  • 6Top with remaining tomato sauce mixture, then bell pepper.
  • 7Cover and cook on low about 5 hours or until rice is tender.
