Easy Stroganoff

Natasha L

I came up with this recipe after experimenting with some similar stroganoff recipes. My family enjoys it because it's creamy and comforting. I like it because it's easy to make.

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
Add this to your easy weeknight dinner recipe list! Making stroganoff from scratch can take time, but we were super impressed by how easy and delicious this version is. The sauce is creamy, tangy, and savory. It's filled with bites of juicy steak and tender mushrooms. Poured over a bed of hot egg noodles, your family will love this simple dinner.

Tip: If your family really loves steak, we'd add another 1/2 pound to the recipe. But, as is this dish is a winner.

2 Tbsp
olive oil
onion, chopped
2 clove
garlic, minced (optional)
1 lb
steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
8 oz
sliced mushrooms
1-2 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup, undiluted (depending on how creamy you like your sauce)
8 oz
sour cream
generous splash Worcestershire sauce (optional)
salt and pepper, to taste
hot cooked noodles or fettuccini
