easy sticky burgers

My whole family love this one; it is so easy and tasty and hits the spot on a hot summer day or anytime.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic
  • 1 medium green bell pepper
  • 1/2 pound grated mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • 1 package hamburger buns

How To Make easy sticky burgers

  • Step 1
    Finely chop green pepper and garlic cloves and saute in large frying pan with a little canola oil or butter (about 3 minutes).
  • Step 2
    Add hamburger meat and continue frying till well done and browned. (about 15 min)
  • Step 3
    Drain any excess oil from the pan and pour into large bowl.
  • Step 4
    Add grated cheese and mix until cheese becomes stringy and makes the meat hold somewhat together (about a minute)
  • Step 5
    Place large scoop of mixture on hamburger bun. Top with pickles (I like bread and butter pickles); this is optional.
  • Step 6
    Serve with potato salad/coleslaw/baked beans or other side dishes.
