How To Make easy peasy sausage/sirloin/pasta bake
-
Step 1PREP/PREPARE
-
Step 2Gather your ingredients.
-
Step 3Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to 350f (180c).
-
Step 4Cook the ground sirloin and sausage, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, and reserve.
-
Step 5Add the cooked al dente pasta to a large mixing bowl.
-
Step 6Add the tomato sauce, and mix.
-
Step 7Here is my favorite tomato sauce: https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/main-course/italian/classic-tomato-sauce.html?p=8
-
Step 8Add the cooked sirloin/sausage, and mix.
-
Step 9Chef’s Note: At this time add a bit of salt and pepper, to the mixture, to taste.
-
Step 10Chef’s Note: I’m not adding a lot of additional spices to this dish because most of the flavor is coming from the tomato sauce. However, any additional spices are up to you.
-
Step 11Grease the insides of a large baking dish, or 4 medium ramekins.
-
Step 12Add the pasta/sauce/sausage mixture.
-
Step 13I wanted my dish to be a bit juicier, so I added more tomato sauce.
-
Step 14Cover with the mozzarella cheese.
-
Step 15Place in the preheated oven and allow the dish to bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly, and begins to brown..
-
Step 16PLATE/PRESENT
-
Step 17Serve with a small side salad, and some nice crusty bread. Enjoy.
-
Step 18Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
