Ingredients
- 1 pound top round steak
- 1/3 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons peanut oil
- 1 - garlic clove, thinly sliced
- 16 ounces frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 cups hot cooked rice
How To Make easy oriental beef stir-fry

Step 1Partially freeze beef top round steak to firm and cut lengthwise in half.

Step 2Slice across the grain into thin strips l/8-inch thick; reserve.

Step 3Heat large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat.

Step 4Add walnuts and stir-fry 1-2 minutes or until lightly browned; reserve.

Step 5Combine water and cornstarch; stir in sherry and soy sauce. Reserve.

Step 6Heat 1 tablespoon oil in same pan over medium-high heat.

Step 7Add garlic and beef strips (1/2 at a time) and stir-fry 1 minute.

Step 8Remove; reserve.

Step 9Add remaining oil to same pan; cook vegetables over medium-high heat 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 10Stir in reserved beef strips.

Step 11Add reserved cornstarch mixture; cook and stir until mixture comes to a boil and thickens slightly.

Step 12Serve stir-fry over rice; sprinkle with reserved walnuts.
