easy meatloaf
I love using the Pace Picante sauce. It has everything you need to make a great meatloaf without having to chop all that separately. Try it! It's fast and easy. I am sure everyone has a half-empty jar of Picante sauce in their ice box. Enjoy :)
Blue Ribbon Recipe
An easy meatloaf recipe to throw together on a busy day. Picante sauce is a great shortcut to add a lot of flavor to the ground beef without having to prep many ingredients. It's tender and moist with a slight peppery taste. The ketchup on top caramelizes while it bakes. Yum!

Ingredients
- 2 pounds hamburger meat
- 1 cup Pace Picante sauce
- 1/2 package saltine crackers
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh black pepper
How To Make easy meatloaf
-
Step 1Put hamburger meat in a bowl.
-
Step 2If you have a food processor crumb the saltine crackers. If not, crunch up in the bag it comes in until it's crumbs. Add to hamburger mix.
-
Step 3Add egg, Picante sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix with your bare hands. You must mush it together and make a loaf.
-
Step 4Put it in a deep baking pan.
-
Step 5Smother it with the ketchup.
-
Step 6Bake in a 375 F preheated oven. Should be ready in 35 to 45 min. I always cut mine in the middle to check if it has pink in the center. If so just put it back in for another 10-15 mins. By cutting it in half, it will allow the center to cook faster without the outside being burnt.
