My husband craved chili, but I was short on seasonings so improvised this recipe, which became a family hit. You can change it up easily by adding chopped carrots, peppers or canned beans.

Ingredients For easy instant chili

  • 1 lb
    ground beef or turkey
  • 1 jar
    tomato sauce, italian seasoned
  • 1 pkg
    enchilada sauce mix (eg casa fiesta)
  • 1 sm
    onion,chopped finely
  • 1 can
    stewed tomatoes, chopped

How To Make easy instant chili

  • 1
    In a large pot, brown ground beef (or turkey). Add chopped onion. Stir to break up the meat.

    Add enchilada sauce mix and amount of water according to package directions. Add stewed tomatoes and jar of tomato sauce. Combine. Bring to low simmer and allow to cook 10 minutes.

    Serve with bread and butter or rice, along with a salad.
