easy crockpot roast
(2 RATINGS)
After experimenting on many seasonings for a roast and trying various recipes, I combined my 3 favorite ingredients. My husband said it was the best roast I have made in 15 years so its become my go to recipe.

Ingredients
- 2-3 pounds chuck roast
- 1 package ranch style dressing mix
- 1 package italian dressing mix
- 1 package beef stew mix
- 1 cup water
How To Make easy crockpot roast
-
Step 1Place roast in crockpot and set on low.
-
Step 2Mix package mixes with 1 cup of water and whisk to remove lumps. Pour over roast. (Can also just dump packets on top of roast then add water but I prefer to blend them)
-
Step 3Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until tender.
-
Step 4Notes: You can also add your fresh carrots and/or potatoes in with the roast. If you don't have all 3 mixes, don't worry, use what you have but I recommend you don't leave out the beef stew mix. The beef stew mix helps thicken it some. The roast will create more juice so if you feel you need to add more water, do not go over 1.5 cups. Your "gravy" will be too thin.
