Fast & easy. Kids always *love* this =) Can be made in the morning before work, or the night before, so when you get home you just pop it in the oven and eat in about a half hour.

Ingredients

  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 4 or 5 medium potatoes
  • 1 can green beans, drained
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 - slices of american cheese (optional)
  • - milk (to taste) in mashed potatoes
  • - butter/margarine to taste in potatoes
  • EQUIPMENT
  • 2 - quart casserole dish with lid

How To Make easiest ever shepherd's pie

  • Step 1
    make mashed potatoes, add a little more milk than usual. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    brown ground beef. drain well. set aside
  • Step 3
    in a casserole dish, combine cooked beef, tomato soup, drained green beans, salt, pepper, parsley & oregano. mix well.
  • Step 4
    cover with mashed potatoes. You can sprinkle on grated cheese or cover with slices of American cheese on top if you like
  • Step 5
    bake in covered casserole dish, 350 degrees for about half an hour - until the meat mixture in the bottom is bubbly hot
  • Step 6
    take out of oven & let stand uncovered for about 10 mins before serving
