Born and raised in Rhode Island, Dynamites are a must for us! My sister Tracy's own personal recipe! Thanks Tracy, luv ya!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 - 26 ounce canned or jarred sauce (i use ragu)
  • 1 can (12 ounce) tomato paste
  • 2 pounds green bell peppers, cut into 1" strips
  • 2 pounds red bell peppers, cut into 1" strips
  • 2 large onions, cut into 1
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 to 2 cups water (i use as needed)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon basil
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (more or less for your taste)
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (more or less for your taste)
  • 2 packages sub rolls (or your favorite rolls)

How To Make dynamites

  • Step 1
    In large dutch oven, cook ground beef until browned,over medium-high heat. Salt and pepper meat to taste. Drain.
  • Step 2
    Add cooked beef to dutch oven and add all remaining ingredients (add water as needed). Cover and simmer for up to 4 hours.
  • Step 3
    Serve hot on your favorite sub roll with a side of potato chips, or macaroni or potato salad!
