Ingredients

  • 5 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 2 cans (10.5 oz) french onion soup
  • 16 ounces beer
  • 2 ounces whiskey
  • 2 - beef bouillon, cubes

How To Make drunken pot roast

  • Step 1
    braise roast in 400 oven for 1 hour.
  • Step 2
    add all other ingredients together with roast in crock pot. stir a bit and simmer on high 4-5 hours.
  • Step 3
    note: roast can be cut up in chunks to fit in crock pot, after simmering total time it will be very tender and broken into pieces.
  • Step 4
    may be served on buns with potatoes and vegetables.
