This little smokies recipe is perfect if you're looking for an easy appetizer. The sauce has everything in it - sweetness from the brown sugar, sour from the orange juice, and tanginess from the mustard. When the brown sugar melts into the orange juice it creates a superb glaze. These aren't your typical BBQ smokies. Thanks to the glaze, there's a little sophistication to this super simple Crock Pot little smokies recipe.

Ingredients For drema's orange glaze cocktail weiners

2 pkgHillshire Farms "Little Smokies" cocktail weiners

2 cbrown sugar, light

2 Tbspflour or cornstarch

2 Tbspvinegar

4 Tbspmustard, ground dry

1/2 cfrozen orange juice concentrate, defrosted and undiluted
How To Make drema's orange glaze cocktail weiners

1Preheat and prepare a Crock Pot, chaffing dish or fondue pot to lowest setting.

2In a large mixing bowl combine brown sugar, flour, and mustard.

3Make a well and gradually add in vinegar and orange juice. Stir well.

4Transfer to Crock Pot or heat source.

5Add cocktail weiners.

6Stir gently. If becomes too thick add small amounts of diluted OJ with water until you reach the correct consistency of a glaze.

7Cook on low till only heated thoroughly, about 30 minutes.

8* Tip: I make the glaze ahead of time and allow to heat on med-high - lower heat to low and add cocktail weiners allowing about 30 minutes to cook before serving time. Enjoy!
