Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 - eggs, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1.5 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 teaspoons dill pickle relish
  • 4 teaspoons mustard
  • - lettuce, shredded
  • 6 slices onion
  • 6 - hamburger buns
  • 6 slices tomato

How To Make double decker burgers

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients; mix well.
  • Step 2
    Shape into 12 thin patties.
  • Step 3
    Broil 4 inches from the heat for 7-8 minutes on each side or until no longer pink.
  • Step 4
    In a small bowl, combine cheese, mayonnaise, mustard and relish; mix well.
  • Step 5
    Spoon 2 tablespoons of mixture on each burger.
  • Step 6
    Return to the broiler just until cheese softens.
  • Step 7
    Place lettuce and onion on bottom of buns; top each with two burgers, tomato and top of bun.
