What shall I do with left over prime rib? hummm...I'll make a He-Man Sammie for the hubs. Cooking with Passion, sw :)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    prime rib or steak of choice, cooked and sliced
  • 8 oz
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large
    onion, sliced
  • 8 slice
    pepper jack cheese
  • 4 oz
    italian blend cheese, shredded
  • 4 Tbsp
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 4 Tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp
    thyme dried, divided
  • 1 tsp
    granulated garlic
  • 4 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce, thick
  • 4
    hamburger buns, sliced
  • OLIVE OIL & ITALIAN SEASONING MIXTURE

  • 1 tsp
    course black pepper
  • 1 tsp
    italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt (optional)

How to Make Do U Want Some of Me Sammie!

Step-by-Step

  1. in a heated skillet add 1/2 of the butter and olive oil. saute onions until golden brown. remove and set a side.
  2. in the same heated skillet, add remaining butter and olive oil. add mushrooms, granulated garlic and thyme to skillet. saute mushrooms until golden brown. remove and set aside. add prime rib slices and worcestershire sauce to skillet. heat through and remove
  3. set your oven on broil (high). brush the tops of your bread with olive oil & italian seasoning mixture. on the bottom half of bread put 1/4 of the italian blend cheese, 1/4 of the mushrooms, some prime rib, 1 slice of pepper jack cheese, more prime rib follwed by another slice of pepper jack cheese. place on an oven proof pan. broil until cheese has melted
  4. you finished sammie...
