Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup french fried onions, crushed
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 2 teaspoons dill weed or seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 can (8 oz.)crescent dinner rolls
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • SAUCE:
  • 1 package brown gravy mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

How To Make dilly beef crescent squares

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375^. In large fry pan, brown ground beef; drain fat. Stir in onions, catsup, mustard, 1-1/2 tsp. dill seed(reserve 1/2 tsp.)salt & pepper. Simmer while preparing dough.
  • Step 2
    Separate crescent dough into 4 rectangles. Press 2 rectangles over bottom of ungreased 8 or 9" square pan. Spoon hot meat mixture over dough, sprinkle with cheese. Place remaining rectangles over meat & cheese; stretch to cover. Sprinkle with reserved dill seed.
  • Step 3
    Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into squares & serve with sauce. To prepare sauce, combine gravy mix & water; cook according to package directions. Stir in sour cream, heat but do not boil.
