I came up with this recipe about 20 years ago, just combining many things that I loved into one meatloaf. Meatloaf is such a comfort food - how can you go wrong? Lots of good flavors, moist, stick-to-your-ribs goodness!

lean hamburger
1 lb
jimmy dean sausage
2 large
1 c
cream or half -n-half
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
2 tsp
italian seasoning
1 tsp
fresh cracked pepper
1/2 c
diced yellow onion
1 tsp
2 tsp
minced garlic
1 c
good grated parmesan cheese
1 Tbsp
good dijon mustard
6 slice
white or wheat bread
3/4 c
pepper jelly
1/2 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1 tsp
ground cumin
1 Tbsp

How to Make Denise's Meatloaf


  • 1Place bread in bowl, pour over milk. Let sit a few minutes while you prepare the meat mixture.
  • 2Mix together rest of ingredients, minus meat. When fully blended, add meat. Using hands, mix gently. Form into loaf on 9x13 dish. Mix together jelly, cumin, and honey. Bake in 350 oven for 45 minutes. Spread sauce on top of meatloaf, bake another 30 minutes. Remove from oven, cool 10 minutes.
