Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 16 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese, creamed
  • 1.25 cups carrots, cooked and sliced
  • 8 ounces cooked noodles or macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make dairy beef casserole

  • Step 1
    Brown the ground beef in the butter and add the onions and garlic.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the tomato sauce, salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Combine the sour cream, cheese and carrots.
  • Step 4
    Add the combination to the noodles and mix.
  • Step 5
    Alternate layers of the meat mixture and the noodle mixture in a 3-quart casserole, beginning and ending with the noodle mixture.
  • Step 6
    Top with the cheddar cheese.
  • Step 7
    Bake at 350 degrees for at least 45 minutes and serve hot.
