When I was growin-up my dad would make this dish and mom would make her gravy out of pan dripping.

Ingredients
- 3 pounds chuck steak, lean
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 can dice tomatoes
- 1 - onions
- 2 - carrots
- 1 - larg green pepper
- 1/2 - chopped olives
- 1/2 cup olive oil

Step 1My dad didn't use a meat malet he took a knife and slice hafe way through the meat not all the way through criscrosse the meat on both side. Heat a iron skillet with oil. Salt& pepper flour. Dust both side of meat. Place meat in hot oil brown both side. Copped onion,carrot,green pepper.

Step 2Add chopped veggies on top of meat add tomatoes,olive. Add water about 1/2 c. to the meat. Cover whith a lid and simmer for 3hr.

Step 3Take the meat out of skillet. With the dripping make a gravy.
