This recipe was given to me by my nephew, who got it from a friend in Iraq. This friend told him that his Irish grandmother made it all the time..It is yummy.

Ingredients For crockpot irish pot roast

1 canwhole berry cranberry sauce..sixteen ounces

6 oztomato sauce

12 ozstout beer such as guinness

2 tsprosemary, ground

1 tspthyme, dried

1 tspsage, dried

1 tspbasil, dried

1 tsppepper
-
1 tspsalt

1four to five pound boneless chuck or rump roast

1 pkgbeef gravy mix
How To Make crockpot irish pot roast

1Spray crockpot with non stick spray. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, except meat and gravy mix.

2Put one half cup of mixture into the bottom of the crockpot.Place the meat on top of this and pout the rest of the mixture over the top.

3Cook on low for eight to ten hours, when meat basically falls apart, remove from crockpot and cut into chunks. Cover with foil to keep warm.

4Turn crockpot to high and sprinkle in the gravy mix. Stir until it thickens. Serve with meat.
