crockpot cubed steaks with gravy

The very first time I tried this recipe I was blown away. We make this recipe all the time and there are never any leftovers. Make sure you plan ahead because it takes 8 hours in a slow cooker but, it's worth it! It's a family favorite. Hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 6 - cubed steaks
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 - large onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • 3 cups water, divided
  • 1 - envelope brown gravy
  • 1 - envelope mushroom gravy
  • 1 - envelope onion gravy

How To Make crockpot cubed steaks with gravy

  • Step 1
    Place flour into a large resealable plastic bag. Add steaks and shake to coat.
  • Step 2
    In a skillet, cook steaks in oil until lightly brown on each side. Transfer the steaks to a slow cooker. Add onion and 2 cups of water to slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
  • Step 3
    In a bowl, whisk together all 3 gravy mixes with the remaining water. Add to slow cooker and cook for another 30 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Serve with mashed potatoes or over rice.
