crockpot chili
My family does not like the overwhelming tomato test of most chilies and really like Steak 'n Shakes' chili for that reason. This is my version and it was a hit! Best of all, I can do the prep work the evening before and then just toss it in the crockpot in the morning.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground beef 90% lean
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 28 ounces can diced tomatoes
- 4 cans beans (15.5 oz each), drained
- 2 cans condensed tomato soup (10 3/4 oz each)
- 1 cup water
- 4 teaspoons cumin
- 1/2 cup chili powder
How To Make crockpot chili

Step 1Brown beef, onion and garlic. Drain off fat and put meat in a 6 quart crockpot.

Step 2Run canned tomatoes through food processor or blender (unless you like little chunks of tomato in your chili). Add to crockpot.

Step 3Add remaining ingredients and stir thoroughly. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.

Step 4Serve with cornbread or crackers.
