This dish is sure to warm your soul. Absolutely delicious! This is one of my favorite dishes that my mother makes for me when I come home. Eaten with warm tortillas....its ohhhhhh so good!

Ingredients
- 3 pounds stew meat
- 2 cans rotel, mild, medium, or hot
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces
- 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon mexican oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 1 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
- 1-2 - seeded jalapeno peppers, chopped (optional)
- 1 package flour tortillas, warmed
- 1 can peas, drained (optional)
How To Make crockpot carne guisada

Step 1Place stew meat, 1/2 cup water, salt and pepper in crockpot.

Step 2Drain juice from tomatoes into a measuring cup.

Step 3Add tomatoes, garlic, onions, and potatoes to crockpot.

Step 4Blend juice from tomatoes and enough water to equal 2 cups of liquid. Add cumin, oregano, and chili powder and flour into tomato juice mixture and mix well. Add to crockpot. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Step 5Cook on low for 6-7 hours until sauce is thickened and meat and veggies are tender.

Step 6Just before serving, warm your tortillas and enjoy.
