Very easy, savory stew. Throw it together in the morning, and by afternoon you have a hearty, hot meal in a bowl.

Fresh potatoes and carrots can be used in place of the canned/bagged veggies I use.

Ingredients

    envelope mccormick beef stew seasoning mix
  • 2 lb
    stew meat, cut into small pieces
  • 2 can(s)
    brown gravy, 18 oz.
  • 2 jar(s)
    green giant whole mushrooms
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 lb
    baby carrots
  • 3-4 can(s)
    new potatoes
  • 1
    large onion, cut into large chunks

How to Make Crockpot Beef Stew

Step-by-Step

  1. In medium skillet, over medium-high heat, brown stew meat. I sprinkle a little of the seasoning mix onto the meat, just enough to cover ina light layer. Save the rest of the seasoning for later. Drain.

    In a 5 or 6-quart crockpot, combine remaining ingredients. Add stew meat and stir ingredients together. Cover. Cook on low setting for 8-10 hours, or until meat and veggies are tender. Stir occasionally.
