How to Make Crock Pot Ziti Lasagna

  • 1Spray crock pot with cooking spray.
  • 2In a large skillet, brown onion, sausage and garlic, breaking up the meat. When all are browned, stir in tomatoes. Warm through and set aside.
  • 3in a medium bowl, mix together ricotta cheese and 2 eggs. When well combined, add the basil, oregano and sage. Incorporate well. Then add 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese and 3/4 cup parmesan cheese. Mix well.
  • 4In bottom of sprayed crock pot, cover with 3 cups of spaghetti sauce. Then layer in 1/2 sausage mix, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, 1/2 box of ziti, and 1/2 of ricotta mix. Repeat layers, starting with 3 more cups of spaghetti sauce. When second layering is complete, top with remaining sauce, ensuring it is spread to the edge of the crock pot all around. Then sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese and finish off with remaining parmesan.
