Ingredients
- 1/2 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1/2 cup flour
- - salt, pepper and garlic salt to taste
- 1 pound round steak, cut into serving size pieces
- 1/2 medium green bell pepper, sliced into rings
- 1/2 medium onion, sliced into rings
- 1 can (15 oz.) diced tomatoes
How To Make crock pot swiss steak

Step 1Tenderize meat by pounding with mallet. Mix flour, salt, pepper and garlic salt in a shallow bowl or plastic bag. Dredge the steaks in the flour mixture.

Step 2Heat oil in a skillet. Place coated steaks in pan and brown on both sides. Remove from heat.

Step 3Place bell pepper and onion slices in the bottom of the slow cooker. Place steaks on top and pour tomatoes over all. Add a small amount of water or beef broth to skillet to loosen brown bits; pour over steak.

Step 4Cover and cook on low heat for 6-8 hours.
