I am retired now but when i was working, I relied on crock pot meals often. after a long hard day it is wonderful to have a hot meal waiting for you when you get home especially if it is comfort food on a cold winter day.

beef stew meat, cut in cubes
1/4 c
all purpose flour
2 tsp
1/2 tsp
black pepper
1/4 c
vegetable oil
1 c
1/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c
1/4 c
cider vinegar
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
1 c
onions, chopped
3 c
carrots, sliced
potatoes, cubed

How to Make Crock Pot Stew


  • 1Mix flour with salt and pepper. Dredge stew beef in flour mixture. Heat oil in skillet and brown the stew meat on all sides.
  • 2I a crock pot, mix all remaining ingredients and add meat. Cover and cook 6-8 hours until carrots and potatoes are tender.
  • 3I like to serve this with corn bread.
