I am retired now but when i was working, I relied on crock pot meals often. after a long hard day it is wonderful to have a hot meal waiting for you when you get home especially if it is comfort food on a cold winter day.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut in cubes
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup onions, chopped
- 3 cups carrots, sliced
- 2 - potatoes, cubed
How To Make crock pot stew

Step 1Mix flour with salt and pepper. Dredge stew beef in flour mixture. Heat oil in skillet and brown the stew meat on all sides.

Step 2I a crock pot, mix all remaining ingredients and add meat. Cover and cook 6-8 hours until carrots and potatoes are tender.

Step 3I like to serve this with corn bread.
