I was in the mood for something spicy tonight, but didn't really feel like cooking. Crock Pot to the rescue! Hope you enjoy this chili with a hint of chocolate.

onion, diced
1 lb
lean ground beef
1 Tbsp
chili powder
1 tsp
allspice, ground
1/2 tsp
cayenne pepper
2 tsp
2 Tbsp
cocoa, unsweetened
2 tsp
garlic, minced
2 tsp
jalapeno pepper, minced
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp
1 can(s)
light red kidney beans, 15 oz.
1 can(s)
dark red kidney beans, 15 oz.
1 can(s)
corn, 15 oz.
1 can(s)
diced tomatoes, 28 oz.
1/2 c
beef broth
salt, to taste
cooking spray

How to Make Crock Pot Spicy Chili


  • 1Use cooking spray to coat inside of cock pot.
  • 2In skillet, lightly brown ground beef. Do not over cook, it will finish cooking in crock pot. You are mostly doing this to break up the meat.
  • 3Then add ingredients to crock pot in order listed. Cook on high for 1 hour, then stir to thoroughly combine all ingredients.
  • 4Continue to cook on high for another 4 hours. Serve with crusty bread or crackers.
  • 5NOTE: Can be cooked on low for 6 - 8 hours or done entirely on stovetop.
