Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen meatballs, (20 oz.), thawed or your own meatball recipe
  • 2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz. each)
  • 1 can beef broth (10 oz.)
  • 3/4 cup red wine
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 - onion, sliced
  • 4-5 - potatoes, cut into large cubes
  • 1 package baby carrots (16 oz.)
  • 1 can mushrooms (4 oz.), drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 cup cold water

How To Make crock pot meatball stew

  • Step 1
    Place potatoes, carrots, onion, mushrooms and meatballs in a crockpot.
  • Step 2
    In a bowl, stir tomato sauce, beef broth, red wine, 3/4 water and garlic powder. Pour over meatballs and vegetables.
  • Step 3
    Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours.
  • Step 4
    1 hour before it's to be done, thicken sauce with 2 tbsps. flour into 1/2 cup cold water.
