I just went to a friend's house and she served me this. It's simple, but delicious, and it can feed a lot of people. This is a great go to recipe on a cold autumn night!

Ingredients

  • 2-3 pounds lean cut beef roast
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 package au jus gravy mix

How To Make crock pot beef for sandwiches

  • Step 1
Place onions in bottom of crock pot.
  • Step 2
    Place meat on top.
  • Step 3
Mix wine, broth, gravy mix together, and pour over the meat just to cover. (If it doesn't cover completely, it will be fine once the juices from the meat are rendered.)
  • Step 4
Cool slightly and shred meat. Serve on crusty rolls or buns with horseradish sauce, au jus, or whatever topping you like.
