Here's another recipe that needed to have a home. Well, now it looks like it has one.:)

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds stew beef, cubed
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 - chopped onion
  • 1 cup beef bouillon
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 6 - sliced carrots
  • 1 cup sliced celery
  • 4 - potatoes, cut up
  • 12 small pearl onions
  • 4 cups water

How To Make crock beef stew

  • Step 1
    Coat meat with flour and set excess flour aside.
  • Step 2
    In skillet, heat oil and brown meat.
  • Step 3
    In crockpot, combine beef, worcestershire sauce, bay leaf, onion, bouillon, salt and pepper, sugar and vegetables.
  • Step 4
    Pour water over all.
  • Step 5
    Cook on low heat 8 to 10 hours.
  • Step 6
    Turn to high and thicken with flour.
  • Step 7
    Cook for 15 more minutes, then remove bay leaf.
