I love creamy pasta sauces and I really wanted to make a creamy speghetti sauce, so with the help of a little cream cheese this one was a hit at our house.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 - small red onion
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 - green pepper
  • 8 - mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 - 15oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 - 8oz can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon all purpose seasoning
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make creamy speghetti sauce

  • Step 1
    Saute ground beef, onion, garlic, green peppers and mushrooms together until meat has browned.
  • Step 2
    Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and water. Add dry ingredients and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 3
    Simmer on low heat at least 30 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add cream cheese just before serving and allow to melt into sauce.
  • Step 5
    Serve over noodle of your choice.
