If you've had a busy day and need a quick, yet delicious, meal...this is for you! My family likes to call it "Homemade Hamburger Helper" but so much better! Serve with warm rolls and a salad and you have a wonderful, satisfying meal for the whole family.

  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 4 oz. can(s)
    sliced mushrooms
  • 1 Tbsp
    olive oil
  • 1 lb.
    lean ground beef
  • 1 (10.8oz) can(s)
    golden mushroom soup
  • 1 c
    half and half or milk
  • 1/2 - 1 tsp
    salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp
    paprika (for a little color)
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 8 oz.
    cooked noodles (about 1/2 of a 16 oz. pkg.)

How to Make Creamy Ground Beef and Noodles


  1. Sauté onion and mushrooms in olive oil, in nonstick skillet until onions are translucent, approximately 5-7 minutes. Add ground beef; stirring to break up meat until meat is cooked through, about 8 minutes.
  2. Add soup, milk, salt, pepper, paprika and butter; heat through and stir occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add cooked noodles and stir gently to combine.
