creamy ground beef and noodles

If you've had a busy day and need a quick, yet delicious, meal...this is for you! My family likes to call it "Homemade Hamburger Helper" but so much better! Serve with warm rolls and a salad and you have a wonderful, satisfying meal for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 4 oz. cans sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lb. - lean ground beef
  • 1 (10.8oz) can golden mushroom soup
  • 1 cup half and half or milk
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoons salt (to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika (for a little color)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 oz. - cooked noodles (about 1/2 of a 16 oz. pkg.)

How To Make creamy ground beef and noodles

  • Step 1
    Sauté onion and mushrooms in olive oil, in nonstick skillet until onions are translucent, approximately 5-7 minutes. Add ground beef; stirring to break up meat until meat is cooked through, about 8 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Add soup, milk, salt, pepper, paprika and butter; heat through and stir occasionally, for about 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add cooked noodles and stir gently to combine.
