Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tablespoon jalapeno peppers, chopped
  • SEASONING MIXTURE
  • 1/4 teaspoon coriander, ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin, ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • TOPPING INGREDIENTS
  • - mozzarella, slices
  • 4 - tortillas
  • 4 - tomato, slices
  • - cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon taco sauce

How To Make cowboy cheeseburgers

  • Step 1
    Mix the burger ingredients together.
  • Step 2
    Form into burgers of equal size about 1/4 inch thick without compacting the meat.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle the seasoning mixture of spices on both sides of patty.
  • Step 4
    Grill or broil, 4\" from source of heat, for 3 minutes on each sides for medium-rare patties.
  • Step 5
    Place the mozzarella cheese on center of each patty.
  • Step 6
    Cook for another minute and until cheese melts.
  • Step 7
    Serve each patty on a warmed 8\" flour tortilla, topped with a tomato slice, cilantro and taco sauce.
