Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/3 c
    bread crumbs
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of chicken soup with herbs
  • 1 can(s)
    beef broth. don't use chicken broth or it won't taste right
  • 1 pkg
    frozen veggies, i use broccoli, cauliflower and carrots
  • 1 can(s)
    chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 tsp
    each basil and thyme
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    flour

How to Make Country Meatball Ragout

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion and salt. Shape into meatballs
  2. In large skillet brown meatballs in oil. Pour off fat.
  3. Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT water and flour and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
  4. Gradually blend water into flour until smooth. Slowly stir into stew. Cook, stirring until thickened. Serve.
