Ingredients

1 1/2 lb
ground beef
1/3 c
bread crumbs
1
egg, beaten
1/2 c
chopped onion
1/2 tsp
salt
1 can(s)
cream of chicken soup with herbs
1 can(s)
beef broth. don't use chicken broth or it won't taste right
1 pkg
frozen veggies, i use broccoli, cauliflower and carrots
1 can(s)
chopped tomatoes
1/2 tsp
each basil and thyme
2 Tbsp
oil
1/2 c
water
1/4 c
flour

How to Make Country Meatball Ragout

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mix beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion and salt. Shape into meatballs
  • 2In large skillet brown meatballs in oil. Pour off fat.
  • 3Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT water and flour and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • 4Gradually blend water into flour until smooth. Slowly stir into stew. Cook, stirring until thickened. Serve.
