mushrooms, sliced

thinly sliced celery

carrot, shredded
2 Tbsp
water
2 lb
ground beef
1/2 c
flour
2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
seasoned salt
1 tsp
herbs of choice
2 Tbsp
soy sauce

How to Make Country Beef Loaf

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine butter, mushrooms, onion, celery, carrots and water in a medium-size frying pan.
  • 2Heat to boiling, cover and cook 10 minutes or until vegetables are crispy tender.
  • 3Combine ground beef, flour, salt, seasoned salt, fine herbs, soy sauce and cooked vegetable mixture in a large bowl.
  • 4Mix lightly, until well-blended.
  • 5Shape into a rectangular loaf, 8 X 6, in a greased jelly-roll pan.
  • 6Bake in moderate over (350 degrees) for
    1 hour, or until crusty-brown.
  • 7Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving, if you wish.
