country beef and rice

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups frozen broccoli, corn and red peppers
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1.5 cups rice, instant

How To Make country beef and rice

  • Step 1
    Cook bacon in a skillet until crisp.
  • Step 2
    Remove bacon and set aside.
  • Step 3
    Brown beef with onion in hot drippings in skillet; drain fat.
  • Step 4
    Add vegetables, soup, water and garlic powder.
  • Step 5
    Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 1 minute.
  • Step 6
    Stir in bacon and rice. Cover; remove from heat.
  • Step 7
    Let stand 5 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Makes 4 servings.
