My husband thinks is the best meatloaf i ever made. The other few that i made didnt turn out very well. But he likes this one!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1\2 cup ketchup
- 1\3 cup tomato juice(i use v8 spicy)
- 1\2 teaspoon salt
- 1\2 teaspoon pepper
- 1\8 teaspoon red pepper
- 2 - eggs
- 3\4 cups fresh bread crumbs
- 14 cups finely chopped onions
- 2 teaspoons mustard
- TOPPING:
- 1\4 cup ketchup
- 1\2 teaspoon mustard
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
How To Make cottage meatloaf

Step 1In large bowl, combine ketchup, juice, salt, pepper and red pepper. Add eggs, bread crumbs, onion and mustard. Mix until blended thouroughly. Add ground beef. Mix gently but thouroughly. Line 9x5-inch loaf pan with foil. Press in beef mixture. In separate bowl, combine topping ingredients; mix well. Spread over beef mixture. Bake at 400* for 35 to 45 minutes, or until done. Drain off fat. Let meat loaf rest 5 minutes before serving.
