Ingredients

- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup tomato juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt&pepper (each)
- 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 2 - eggs, beaten
- 3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 2 teaspoons mustard
- - aluminum foil (to line pan)

- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup mustard
- 2 teaspoons brown sugar
- - fresh herb for garnish (optional)
How To Make cottage meatloaf

Step 1preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2in a large bowl, combine ketchup, tomato juice, salt, pepper, red pepper, eggs, onions and mustard. Mix until throughly blended.

Step 3Mix bread crumbs and ground beef.

Step 4Add beef to liquid mixture, mix gently, but throughly.

Step 5line a 9x5 inch loaf pan with aluminum foil. press meat mixture into pan.

Step 6Mix topping ingredients together in separate bowl; spread on top of meat.

Step 7Bake at 400 degrees for about 35-40 minutes.

Step 8Drain off fat and allow to sit 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.
