Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 can cream-style corn
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large finely chopped onion
- 1/2 pound shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make cornbread pie

Step 1In a medium mixing bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients.

Step 2Blend thoroughly.

Step 3In a skillet, brown beef and onion; drain.

Step 4In a greased baking dish, spread 1/2 the cornbread mixture.

Step 5Cover this with all of the meat mixture.

Step 6Sprinkle meat with cheese.

Step 7Top with remaining cornbread mixture.

Step 8Bake at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes, or until done.

Step 9If desired, spread butter or margarine on top.
