I got this from a friend back in the 60's when I was in college.Everyone I cook it for wants the recipe.It is easy and tastes great!!

Ingredients

1 lb
ground beef
1 c
chopped onion
2 clove
garlic, or 1/2 teaspoon
2 dash(es)
tobasco sauce
1 tsp
cumin
1/8 tsp
pepper
2 tsp
sugar
1 1/2 tsp
salt
1 Tbsp
butter
1 can(s)
tomatoe sauce (8oz)
1 can(s)
tomatoe paste (6oz)
3 can(s)
water (60z)
1-3 tsp
chili powder
1 tsp
oregano, dried
1/2 c
precooked rice
fritos corn chips

How to Make Corn Chip Tacos

Step-by-Step

  • 1Saute ground beef, onion, and garlic in butter until brown. Mix in all remaining ingredients except corn chips, and simmer for 30 minutes uncovered. Stir occasionally to keep from sticking. Cover and remove from heat, and let stand for 5 minutes.
  • 2Serve meat mixture over corn chips. Top with grated cheese, chopped onions,tomatoes,olives and sour cream, or whatever you think sounds good.
