corn bread casserole
My mother originally found this recipe in a Ralph's Supermarket advertisement over 30 years ago. It was one of my family's favorite meals growing up, and now it is one of my kid's favorites. Extra perfect on a cold day!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans
- 1 can (16 oz) cream style corn
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 box corn bread mix
How To Make corn bread casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Brown meat in a large skillet, drain. Add remaining ingredients, except corn bread mix. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 3Prepare one package of corn bread mix according to package directions.

Step 4Pour meat mixture into a 3 quart casserole dish and cover with prepared corn bread mix.

Step 5Bake for 25 minutes. Let rest for 5 minutes and serve with sour cream and hot sauce.
