sirloin steaks
1 tsp
dijon mustard
4 slice
danish ham
4 slice
blue cheese
1 1/2 c
flour
1 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
pepper
1
egg, slightly beaten
bread crumbs
butter
lemon, garnish
parsley for garnish

How to Make Cordon Bleu

Step-by-Step

  • 1Pound steaks until approximately 4x7 inches.
  • 2Spread with mustard.
  • 3Top each with slice of ham and cheese. (Both slices smaller than steaks)
  • 4Fold steaks over, secure with skewers.
  • 5Mix flour with spices.
  • 6Dip each steak in flour on both sides, then in egg, finally in bread crumbs.
  • 7Fry in butter for 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • 8Garnish.
  • 9Serve with vegetables.
  • 10Makes 4 servings.
