Ingredients

  • 4 - sirloin steaks
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
  • 4 slices danish ham
  • 4 slices blue cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 - egg, slightly beaten
  • - bread crumbs
  • - butter
  • - lemon, garnish
  • - parsley for garnish

How To Make cordon bleu

  • Step 1
    Pound steaks until approximately 4x7 inches.
  • Step 2
    Spread with mustard.
  • Step 3
    Top each with slice of ham and cheese. (Both slices smaller than steaks)
  • Step 4
    Fold steaks over, secure with skewers.
  • Step 5
    Mix flour with spices.
  • Step 6
    Dip each steak in flour on both sides, then in egg, finally in bread crumbs.
  • Step 7
    Fry in butter for 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Step 8
    Garnish.
  • Step 9
    Serve with vegetables.
  • Step 10
    Makes 4 servings.
