Ever had a pound of hamburger with no clue what you were going to do with it? That's how this recipe was born over thirty years ago. I'm pretty sure there are a lot of variations of this recipe out there. I add this one to the group. Easy, fun and creative, this dish is really good and comforting. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 - onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 package mashed potatoes
- - salt & pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 3 - pats of butter
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 2 - cans of whatever veggies you have in the pantry. for this recipe, i used mushrooms and corn
How To Make connie's pantry casserole

Step 1Sauté onions.

Step 2Add ground meat to onions and brown.

Step 3Add garlic salt into meat mixture.

Step 4Drain cans of 2 veggies. I used corn and mushrooms but carrots, green beans, peas, etc. would work also.

Step 5Add veggies and can of diced tomatoes to meat mixture.

Step 6Add Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper mixture to taste.

Step 7Remove mixture from skillet with a slotted spoon and place in a casserole dish.

Step 8Top mixture with mashed potatoes (home made or packaged works well).

Step 9Top with butter.

Step 10Bade in over at 350 degrees until mashed potatoes are brown; about 35 minutes.,
