THIS IS A RECIPE THAT MY MOM MADE UP FOR ALL THE TIMES WE WENT TO LAKE ISABEL HERE IN NORTH DAKOTA, THAT WAS THE ONE PLACE WE JUST LOVED TO GO, SINCE MY DAD WORKED ON THE RAILROAD, IT WAS ALWAYS A LAST MINUTE THING, SO MOM WOULD MAKE THIS TO FEED ALL 7 OF US KIDS WHEN WE WENT DOWN THERE

Ingredients
- 6 pounds hamburger
- 6 - stalks of celery diced
- 1 large onion chopped
- 1 - green pepper chopped
- 1 tablespoon garlic
- LIQUID FOR THE SOUP POT
- 2 cans tomato juice
- 2 large family size tomato soup
- AFTER YOU ADD THE HAMBURGER AND SIMMER
- 3 packages hot dogs, i use cloverdale all meat hot dogs they taste the best in this recipe
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- - coney buns or hot dog buns

Step 1FRY THE HAMBURGER, CELERY, ONION, GREEN PEPPER AND GARLIC, UNTIL THERE IS NO MORE PINK IN THE HAMBURGER

Step 2PUT THE TOMATO JUICE AND SOUP INTO A SOUP POT, SIMMER, ADD HAMBURGER, AND CHILI POWDER, SIMMER FOR ABOUT 20 MINUTES, ADD THE HOT DOGS, SIMMER FOR 15 MINUTES. RIGHT BEFORE YOU SERVE THIS ADD THE YELLOW MUSTARD AND SERVE OPEN FACED ON HOT DOG BUNS
