Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 - onion, sliced
- 1 - minced garlic clove
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 1 teaspoon beef bouillon
- 3/4 cup water
- 6 ounces chinese pea pods
- 5 ounces water chestnuts
- 5 ounces bamboo shoots, sliced
- 11 ounces mandarin oranges
How To Make company beef oriental

Step 1Use 1 5 ounce can of water chestnuts that have been drained and sliced.

Step 2Drain the can of orange segments, but reserve the syrup for the recipe.

Step 3Cook and stir the meat, onion and garlic in a large skillet until the meat is brown.

Step 4Drain off the excess fat.

Step 5Mix the soy sauce, cornstarch and molasses and stir this mixture into the meat mixture.

Step 6Stir in the bouillon, water, pea pods, water chestnuts, drained, sliced bamboo shoots and reserved mandarin orange syrup and heat to boiling.

Step 7Reduce the heat and simmer, covered, for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 8Stir in the orange segments, recover and heat for about 2 minutes.

Step 9Serve over cooked rice with additional soy sauce.
