This is one of my Husband's favorites. I grow the peppers and he comes home with the beef.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    egg
  • 1/3
    cup chopped onion
  • 2/3
    cup of milk
  • 6-8
    buttery crackers ( i use dare cabaret crisp & buttery)
  • 4
    shakes of worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp
    lawry's seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large
    green bell peppers
  • 1 c
    mild cheddar cheese
  • ·
    for the sauce
  • 4 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 4 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    ketchup

How to Make Colleen's Stuffed Peppers

Step-by-Step

  1. Boil pot of water
  2. slice peppers in half and seed. once water is boiling place peppers in the water and boil for 10 minutes.
  3. mean while mix the first 9 ingredients together.
  4. drain peppers under cold water, after cool enough to handle stuff with beef mixture.
  5. spread sauce mixture over top and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Top with mild cheddar cheese and bake 5 more minutes or til cheese is melted.
