Ingredients
- 1 - round steak filet
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 tablespoon butter
- 4 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 - onion, sliced
- 1 - green bell pepper, sliced
How To Make classic swiss steak

Step 1Cut steak into serving portions.

Step 2Combine flour, salt and black pepper in medium-size bowl.

Step 3Roll cut steaks in flour mixture, coating both sides.

Step 4Melt shortening or butter in a hot skillet.

Step 5Brown round steak on both sides, but do not cook.

Step 6Add tomato sauce, onion and green pepper.

Step 7Cook low for 6 to 12 hours, or on high for up to 6 hours.
