Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 large onion
- 1 medium green pepper-finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice, ground
- 1/4 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (add to taste)
- 1/2 cup water
- 32 ounces tomatoes crushed
- 1-16 can red kidney beans - undrained

Step 1Cook ground beef, chopped garlic, chopped onion & chopped green pepper in heavy skillet, over medium-high heat; until onion is soft, ground beef is no longer pink. Stir frequently, breaking up ground beef.

Step 2Add remaining ingredients, bring to boil, cover and ***reduce heat. Simmer for 45 to 1 hour. Stir frequently. Garnish with chopped fresh onion, shredded cheese or other favorites.

Step 3Suggested adjustments for "Hotter Chili" add favorite hot sauce to taste: more "Flavorful Chili" cook an hour longer: "Beanless Chili" omit beans, increase lean ground beef by 1 pound: "Thicker & Fuller Chili" add a Tablespoon of Mesa (Corn Flour.)

Step 4Hints: Measure out all ingredients before cooking. ***Short on time, transfer ingredients to Slow Cooker after bringing to boil. Stir occasionally. Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or high for 4 to 5 hours. Add water if too thick.
