onion, chopped
1 lb
extra lean ground beef
1 clove
garlic minced
1 Tbsp
chili powder
1 tsp
ground allspice
1 tsp
ground cinnamon
1 tsp
ground cumin
1/2 tsp
red cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp
1 1/2 Tbsp
unsweetened cocoa
1 can(s)
15 oz. tomato sauce
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp
cider vinegar

How to Make Cincinnati Chili


  • 1In larges killet, over medium-high heat, saute onion and ground beef, until beef is browned.
    Add garlic, chili powder and stir until combined.
  • 2Add allspice, cinnamon, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, cocoa, tomato sauce, worcestershire sauce, cider vinegar, and water.
  • 3Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.

    Traditionally Cincinnati Chili is served over spaghetti, we add shredded cheddar cheese on top. This is called a 3-way.

    This chili is also great on top of hot dogs, add cheese and you have a great cheese coney.....enjoy!
